karmagora is seeking top-notch PHP and JavaScript Developers with strong Computer Science fundamentals who are very comfortable developing high-quality web products that connect and add to the growing social networks.

karmagora is a web-based community that allows you to discover opportunities near you, connect to those opportunities, and benefit from those connections. Opportunities include both charities and individuals.

Using the Google Map API, karmagora finds your location, and shows all the charity and social needs around you, and allows you to participate, while earning credit, or “karmas”, as well as badges.

Responsibilities include:
Work toward weekly milestones on the development of high-visibility, high-quality modules
Meet with team to assess feasibility and priority of new features.
Participate in testing regularly scheduled releases.
Collaborate with team to optimize scalability and network efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and proactively suggest architecture changes and new coding practices.

Other duties as appropriate.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Object-oriented PHP and JavaScript experience.
Previous experience with the following web technologies: DHTML, CSS, JQuery
Experience working with large web frameworks such as Dojo and prototype.js
Phenomenal debugging principles

karmagora is built using the MAMP architecture on a OSX Server
